I was going to wait until February / March 2015 to sell 'Stan the van' so as to achieve the best price but have decided to put it up for sale now in case anyone is actually looking for a good quality motorhome in excellent running order to take away with them this winter and wants mine. It's in storage at the moment - as they say, not eating nor drinking but if you are interested in buying 'Stan' then give us a call and we'll arrange a viewing. Anyway, here's some details for you below ( I've tried to list everything from the 'top of my head' and may well have forgotten something, it has got everything you'd expect from a Swift Motorhome ) : Excellent working order. MOT May 2015. Taxed ( but road fund licence refunds will return to me if sold because DVLA tax rules have changed ) If you know your motorhome market you will know these vehicles are very good for passing MOT's each time. Because the mileage isn't excessive and their usage is minimal things barely go wrong. The vehicle was first registered on 24 November 2000 and is an early X registration. Power steering. Pull down rear FIAMMA bicycle rack. Shower with plenty of room including air/roof vent. Sink with cupboard, shower tray, mirror and extra cubby hole for towels etc. Cooker ( good sized oven and small grill ) comes with 'pull down' glass lid. Refrigerator ( gas, mains electric and engine running 12v power ) and small freezer compartment. Mains electric water heater - runs on gas too. On board water supply ( with 'key' locking cap outside ) On board waste tank. Double bed above cab. This can be folded away for more room or left ready made to jump into a snug sleeping area. There is a ladder too. I am 6 feet 6 and there's just about enough room for me and my wife to sleep. The bed has it's own 12v lighting, own window with pull down blinds, own roof /air vent. It also has a 'pull up' safety side to stop anyone falling out and a long curtain to enclose the area in. We normally keep our duvets and pillows etc up there. It's a massive storage area if you don't use it for a bed however a cosy and snug bed area if you do. Front passenger seat swivels to face rear of van. A great handy extra seat if needed. If you're the first one to get up in the morning, it's a nice place to sit and enjoy a warm cuppa and a piece of toast on. There are 4 seatbelts fitted ( 2 in the front and two in the back ) Double bed ( pull out ) within rear seating. Amazingly large sleeping area. It doesn't look big but when all the cushions etc are arranged in the correct order, it comfortably sleeps two - and don't forget I'm 6 feet 6 and there's loads of room here for me. Digital safe installed under seating. I can give you instructions on how to reset the code if need be. Sorry, but I won't be leaving any money in here for the new owner. TV aerial built in and works well. Only ever place I've had difficulty in receiving channels is Nottage in Porthcawl. This is an area issue and NOT a problem with the aerial. The reception in most other places is superb. Mains lighting and 12v lighting. Extra large roof skylight with pull across net blind and blackout blind. This same skylight design is still being used today for new motorhomes and caravans. Hot and cold taps in W/C. Hot and cold taps in kitchen area. Outside drain pipe with turn valve for easy emptying. Easy to find switches if you need to drain all the water down ready for winter. Plenty of storage cupboards above and below. TV shelf area with TV aerial socket and 240v mains supply 110 amp leisure battery in very good condition. Foldable / storable dining table. ( stows away behind drivers seat ) Wind - out 'OMNISTOR' awning with built in spring legs and winding hook. FIAMMA 'safety plate' to secure main side door entrance. Never used. Large rear bumper that easily holds my weight and handy when giving the van a wash. Reversing sensors installed ( but currently unplugged and not in use. The roof is clean and has been kept clean. 4 excellent condition tyres all round with no long term pressure loss. All tyres keeping their air pressures stable. Recently had radiator replaced and thermostatic sensor attached. ( this sprung a tiny 'spray' leak not long after buying it so we had it replaced ) Very clean upholstery all round. Curtains ( with tie backs ) and cushions too. Pull down flyscreens with pull down 'blackout' blinds all round. Butane gas bottle in side storage ( lockable ) - unsure how much gas left. Ample 12v cigarette lighter style sockets for charging gadgets off 12v supply. Spare set of keys for all locks. I had these made just in case. Alarm fitted and working fine but hardly used. Thetford cassette toilet in lockable storage all in complete working order. New discs and pads done in 2014 approx 2000 miles ago. New SONY digital radio/CD/USB/AUX/DAB face-off and remote control. Digital aerial fitted to windscreen for DAB radio. Adjustable tilt steering wheel. Power steering. Spare 110 amp leisure battery. No leaks. No holes. Very good condition and very sought after L shaped interior. Removable fit - together carpets covering vinyl flooring. There is a removable carpet to the cab area also and in very good condition. All wheels have wheel trims fitted. Anti theft steering wheel locking device is with the van and can be fitted if needed. Full adjustable driver seat. Wheel jack, brace and tool bag. ******************************************************** Bad points ( I wouldn't call them bad and not many but here they are anyway ) : * Small chip in windscreen ( has been there for ages - not MOT issue ). * Tiny crack on an outer plastic window cover - does not let in water or air. Not an issue as doesn't affect vehicle and is totally weatherproof. * Small Welsh dragon sticker on bonnet peeled and needs either taking off completely or covering over. * Some age related marks but totally watertight and dry all round. * The van has had a tiny amount of water ingression through the roof aerial area and was repaired and sealed in the past - a new aerial was fitted. It is totally dry, fixed and you can barely see where the problem was but I want to mention everything. There is no problem there now. * The extra large rear bumper was fitted after the reversing sensors were fitted thus stopping the reversing sensors to gauge the distance correctly as the bumper is now in the way. I have been meaning to 'site' the sensors in a different position but haven't because I don't use it anymore. This can be done 'if needed' by the new owner. * The awning material is in very good condition but has previously, in the past, been wound up and put away when there were a few leaves on top. The imprints of the leaves are now 'fossilized' onto the fabric ! They don't look unsightly and add character to the pattern.... ****************************************************************** I've tried to list everything I can that I know of. I feel that I have. If you are really interested then please come and have a look and see what you think. It's a great van, starts first time everytime and I would have no problem driving it around the world if i had time..... I'm in no rush to sell my motorhome and like I stated earlier in the advert that I've decided to list it now just in case anyone is looking for a good motorhome for their winter travels to Spain etc. It's in storage and will stay in storage if it doesn't. If it doesn't sell then IT WILL DEFINITELY SELL IN THE SPRING ! - it's a very sort after model with the very sought after interior layout. You don't get many like this. Ok, you do get them but if you want a trusty reliable 'go anywhere' camper then give me a call or send me an email. NO TRADERS PLEASE. Serious buyers only please. And to all tyre kickers - stop kicking tyres ! Would prefer bank transfer and with todays technology most probably the quickest and safest. Cash is always good. Cheques taken but will have to clear into my account before the vehicle is released. Unfortunately, there are many scams on Greatbritainlisted and other selling/buying websites and I will take every precaution to avoid such an instance occurring. If you are a serious buyer then you will no doubt understand and hopefully agree why I may be slightly apprehensive about a high value transaction. Thanks for looking. H A P P Y C A M P I N G
